Multisport Coaching & Group Training

Personal Best Tri is a multisport program to help you maximize the time and energy you put into training and racing.  Coaches Sean Edwards, Andre Phillips and Matt Ebersole want to help you train smarter and harder and race faster.  It is also very important to us that you enjoy the process and the social aspects that swimming, riding and running with a group has to offer.  PBTri will provide training schedules as well as 4 group workouts each week.  There will be one ride and one swim and two group runs each week.  One of the runs and the ride can be used for brick workouts.

Sean Edwards wanted to return to competitive sport after total reconstructive knee surgery and found he had a passion for triathlon and has since competed in races across the county.  Sean  began coaching triathletes several years ago helping beginners and veterans looking for improvement.  He adds to his exercise science education with certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American College of Sports Medicine.  Contact Sean at (317) 345-6200 or sean@impactrealtyreo.com.

Andre Phillips has been a competitive triathlete and cyclist since 2001.  He is a graduate of Indiana University, a 3-time Little 500 veteran, and was a founding member of the IU Triathlon Club and is the co-race director of the Hoosierman Triathlon.   He is a consistent top age grouper and top ten finisher in short distance triathlons. Matt Ebersole has worked with over 5,000 athletes since he founded Personal Best Training in 1991.  He has coached hundreds of Boston Marathon and three Olympic Trials qualifiers.  Working with triathletes to improve their running and having coached with Sean made expanding Personal Best Training’s offering to multisport athletes a natural progression.  Matt brings his running knowledge as well as his 20 year background in coaching and organizing training programs to ensure with the help of the Personal Best Triathlon staff you have a great experience in achieving your goals!  Contact Matt at (317) 872-0000 or pbtau@hotmail.com.

 

Current Weekly Group Workout Schedule 

  • Tuesday 5:45pm/Quality run workout at the Indianapolis Art Center/Monon Trail (67th & College)
  • Wednesday 6:00am/Swim TBA
  • Thursday 6:00pm/Ride/Brick at Eagle Creek
  • Saturday 8:00am/Run or Brick at Eagle Creek Park
  • Sunday 3:00pm/Ride Nebo Ridge Bike Shop (106th/Michigan)
  • Also periodically scheduled clinics covering various topics and open water swimming
